Sustainability
Sustainability at MAX TARIQ.
We are dedicated in providing a brand where caring for our planet is a high priority and is taken into consideration throughout every aspect of the company. This includes everything from the sourcing of materials to the production process, the impact of waste and our packaging that delivers our comfy and stylish products to your door. Below is a list of ways that we aim to be kind to the planet and do our part against climate change…
- Our clothing is made using organic materials - This reduces the need for virgin resources and often requires less water, chemicals, and energy to produce.
- We use Vegan ink, by doing so it offers several environmental and ethical benefits compared to traditional inks, especially those that contain animal-derived substances like shellac (from beetles) or other animal products in dyes and pigments. Vegan inks are generally free from harmful substances, making them safer for workers in the printing process and for consumers who wear the clothing. This reduces the risk of allergic reactions and skin irritations. Many vegan inks, especially water-based inks, can produce more vibrant, soft, and durable prints on fabrics, maintaining colour integrity after multiple washes without fading as quickly as some traditional inks. Resulting in a better quality product for you!
- All our packing we use when sending out orders is eco friendly - even our plastic mailing bags our biodegradable meaning if it is not recycled correctly it will biodegrade in just a few years unlike many plastics that take years and years.
- Each item of clothing is made on demand meaning that there is no wasted stock and we are not contributing to the world of fast fashion. Traditional manufacturing often leads to overproduction, resulting in unsold inventory that may end up being discarded. Producing On-demand only creates what is needed, minimising excess stock and reducing the environmental impact.
- Our very popular black and white rainbow t-shirts are climate neutral, this means these garments were manufactured using only renewable green energy from wind and solar power. Also when being produced they are part of the fair wear foundation this is a non profitable organisation who ensure fair wages and safe working conditions for garment workers, as well as improving supply chain transparency to combat exploitation.
Our aim is to continue doing all that we can to help our planet and we will always look at new ways of doing this - we have a very exciting new collection launching soon which will be our most sustainable collection to date!
